It's been a couple weeks now in my new to me 2006 Ranger. I've noticed one thing that takes me back to my old Ranger and wonder if it's just a characteristic of these trucks. When backing out of driveway or whatever and going from reverse to drive there seems to be a somewhat large delay in the time the tranny picks up and kicks in. As I recall I had similar symptoms in my 96, and it never seemed to warrant any further investigation. Is this typical? This truck only has 13k on it, and I highly doubt it's something faulty, but wanted to see if anyone else has a similar situation in their tranny?
Truck specs in sig. below.
My 03 does same thing. Seems like as it has gotten some miles on it the delay isn't quite as noticeable. Keep an eye on tranny fluid level and condition ( if yours still has a dipstick) and you should be fine.

I've got an 03 and it does that too but only when it's cold. I'm thinking these tranny's are extremely picky and the fluid needs to be at the exact right level
