Lets talk about exercise

Anyway me and the wife set a plan in January to lose weight.
Started weightwatchers to have something to follow, and after tow months just did it on our own after learning a bit about portions and the like.
Worst part was giving up soda.
She's down 40 pounds...........

I'm down about 30 psuhing 35.

So I'm starting to want to crank up the exercise a bit and see how good I can make myself feel and if it works out, look good too.
We have a nice elliptical, I been doing 30 minutes 3 times a week, but have been ramping up to do 30 a day, pushing for 45 or more.
I have no gym equipment yet, a friend who has some that recently joined a gym at his office complex is going to set me up when I finish my basement in a month or two.
So here I am, started doing pushups, crunches, and pullups.
I'm trying to circuit the exercises, doing small sets with a minute rest in between.
Can I do this everyday?
Should I find something to help supplement wise? Not talking about getting crazy, something to add to the lowfat diet to help since I'm going to do more?
I have been doing the cardio last, other stuff first. Any reason to vary or switch?
Lastly, I figure something will change, but can I actually add any muscle mass by doing these exercises with some variations as time goes on?
Some of the equipment my buddy has is free weights, so I may do that with his oversight in a couple months, just curious how far I can go doing what I'm doing now and have any results.
Thanks for any input or advise.
Cardio is GREAT, but if you started doing a variety of weights, you would notice those pounds fall off even faster.
As long as you keep your heart rate up, your burning calories. If you keep doing what your doing you will see results for sure, especially if you have the proper diet.
Listen to your body. It will let you know if you are pushing too hard!!!

Do cardio first thin in the morning, and some light cardio in the evening. 6 days a week.
I also lift at night. Usually my night time cardio is basketball, volleyball or walking on a treadmill on an incline.
Couple that with a good diet eating 5 times a day. The punds melt away.
Body weight exercises are great and I use them everyday. With out weights I use a pyramid training. 20 push-ups roll over and do 20 sit-ups rest a minute and go down to 19. Do that all the way to one. Pull-ups are an awesome back workout that I include into my weight training
All in all though, you have to figure out what works for you.

jake00, That's an interesting website, I'm going to show it to my wife who has recently decided to try Alli.
Bliff, I like the pyramid. Will try that this week and see how I feel.
So far alternating the exercises every other day. I'm out of shape and feel it very much the next day, so I'm taking a extra day in between for the first couple weeks.
The cardio is a good way to warm up, good input. I was doing it after. I feel more energized at push up 30 with cardio first.
Broke my cheap chin up bar. Circa 1974 thanks to Dad. Pick up a new one tonight. Looking at getting the weights stuff setup in the next week or so.
Thanks everybody!
Monday weigh-in, 6'-4", 196lb, waist is -36, meaning a 36 is loose.

It was creaking something awful and it just gave way.
Yea, diet had the biggest effect for us.
