Anyone know of a good but cheap lift kit for a 04 f150. I dont wana lift it much maybe 3 inches if that. I was thinking of a leveling kit up front like a 3 inch one and what can i do in the back to raise it up. Can i add a leaf spring in the back or what can I do. Any ideas would be great. It might sound stupid but just wondering.
a leveling kit would be a cheap and easy way to lift your truck. Alot of people on here are going with the Auto Spring leveling kits and are happy with the results. Auto spring makes a 1.5",2",& 2.5" kit. Some other companys make a 3" leveling kit but I would stay away from them because I think it will put the front CV joints at too much of an angle. If you went with the AS 2.5" kit up front and one of their 1.5" lift blocks or an add a leaf for the rear that should keep your truck level and allow enough room for 35" tires with maybe a little trimming. If you went with the 2" kit and nothing on the rear your truck should sit level and have enough room to clear 33" or 34" tires easy.
Also, every truck reacts different to the leveling kits, I put the 1.5" kit on my truck because I load the box up alot and wanted to keep a little bit of the factory rake and I ended up getting 2.25" lift from the kit. I had 3" of difference between front/rear before, so the rear is still 3/4" higher.the 2" kit is the most popular and on some trucks it makes the truck sit level and on others the front might be a little higher. If you go with the 2.5" kit you will need to add something to the rear to make the truck level.
