Alright guys this a brother thing. I have a older brother that has a 07 duramax with a bullydog. I have a 2000 7.3 with the edge juice I have mine on the 100 hp, we are going racing tomorrow at our local track. I know I wont win but I just want it to be decently close anything I can do to help I'll try. When I first bought the truck back in dec we raced and he beat me by a truck and a half. I have since changed programers to see if that would help Im going to put a K&n in it tomorrow morning but other advice will be accepted.
did he do anything to it? if he did you can say Bye Bye to him. and get dp tuner. did you get SES light last time you had a go with him?
a quick fix go to any speed shop and get 50 or 75 shot NOS system , that would get you first to the line.....
and if you have 4x4 try to leave with little boost in 2wd. will get you faster trap speed if you dont spin tires. or go all out in 4x4 with 15# boost.
btw run straight pipe no filter you get bout 10-15hp more dont ask how i know.....
Also what do you mean a ses light. Last time I mean we was all over each other I have 4x4 and I'll use it b/c the truck just spends to bad if you dont. We are going to do some mean burn outs and post it to youtube.
thats what i ment , no air filter on the track only, and SES is like you check engine light, if this pops on you loosing power, your truck most likely is defueling, and the main cause is you running a programmer, do you have anything on a MAP sensor to foul it from seeing to much boost?
Don't put a K&N on your truck, for diesels they are less than desirable. Get a 6637 from fleetfilter.com. If you want to beat your brother get a DP tuner. It won't help you tomorrow, but it will get you close to beating him and is waaaay better than the Edge. I assume of course that you have gauges and exhaust to go with the tuner.
