Just a thought!

I keep reading post from new people that happened to stumble on to FTE, by accident by luck or however they might have reached FTE. I am glad they have found this site, it has helped me, and i am sure that it will bring pleasure to their lives also.

As I am out an about I see people driving their old Ford trucks and usually take the time to talk to them, and admire their trucks, a common denominator between us and I always, always ask if they are a member of FTE or if they have ever looked at the FTE website. In most occasions, not all, I have found that these people know nothing about FTE.

So, here is my thought. Is it possible get a someone (It's not me) that knows how to put together a half page, or maybe even a whole page "FLYER" invitation sheet, with the FTE web address on it, maybe a picture or two, put it up top where we can always find it,then maybe we could print off a few copies, keep them with us as we see people out driving their old Ford trucks and invite them to join us here at FTE. I tell the people I see about the website, but you know, if they don't write down the web address, they will probably never visit the site. If you are one of the fortunate ones that have a completed truck and going to shows, you could take a stack and pass them out there, or if going to visit a show, hand out an invitation to those at the show that are the '48 - '60 range.

So...........your input please. Is this a good idea or not so good.

I'm sure that Fomoko1..Morris would have to get it approved, or approve it himself, but it might be something that could be done.

If you look at the drop down under Forums at the top of the page you will find a "Spotters Card" you can print and hand out to ford truck owners you meet.
It has the web address listed.

Mr. mellowyellow55. I "stumbled" onto FTE while surfing google. It took forever to get registered. Like I was applying for top secert security clearance to the White House. Now that I am on I can't seem to be able to post pictures with my text. I am proud of my 53.It has taken me over 10 years of blood, sweat and tears, not to mention $$$$$ to complete. And,I do'nt have to tell ya'll that it is never complete. I would like to share a few pics. But, that seems to be beyond my limited computer skills.

woodsmoke, WELCOME, glad that you found this sight. There is tons of information and help herE, I'm glad that I am associated with FTE, even in the small way that I am. There is a lot of help for you to get your pictures posted, as I am sure some of the senior users can guide you through that maze, but it is worth it. We would all love to see you truck and your input here.

woodsmoke,
Another Welcome! from Texas! What part do you live in? We've got quite a few folks from TX on here, so you're probably close to another member or 12.

I see the picks of your engine in your gallery. The gallery is one way to add pics to your post. Just copy and paste the "forum codes" in your post and it will link to your gallery pics. BTW, add some more pics when you get a chance. That's a nice looking 6 cylinder you have there!
I think there's a thread at the top of the page that further describes how to add the pics to your posts.
Again, Welcome and Good Luck!

I like the bumber sticker idea or maybe a small FTE Oval sticker for a back window would be cool?

Now your on to something good. I would add a "small" oval sticker to the back window or to the lower corner of the front window. It should go on from the inside so as not to come off when cleaned.
