Well I just swapped out the front speakers and re-did the rear setup. Sounds really really nice. Except for at certain frequencies in a song (generally lower) parts of my roof will start vibrating (the door does also but that stops when you hit it) does anybody else have this problem or know how too deal with it. It sure can mess up a good Led Zepplin song.
Sound System: Stock Stereo, RockfordFosgate 800 watt amp, Vega 18" sub (400 watt rms), one Cerwin-Vega LS-12 3 way floor speaker with the Vega sub removed (because I blew it) and a RockfordFosgate 12" sub (500 watt rms) in its place. And one Boise floor speaker with a 75 watt power capacity (you know it ain’t gonna last). A pair of Pioneer 6-3/4 speakers up front with 180 watt max (50watt recommended)
Performance Mods: K&N Air Filter.
Cosmetic Mods: Black Grill Guard, 5% window tint, bug guard, bed liner.
Hi
Sounds like you could use some sound deadening material. It almost looks like heavy tar paper that sticks to the inside of your vehicles body panels , It can also be applied under the carpet to help kill road noise among other things . There are several different ones on the market but it can be very expensive .You are best to check your local stereo shop for price.

I would agree that you need some sound-deadening in your truck. You can get either the actual Mat form, or you can buy it in a canister and spray it on your panels. If you are going to pull out headliner, I would use the mats, on the doors use the canisters.
I bought some of this stuff from MCM Electronics, not sure if it is exactly the same, I used on the floor of my Bronco. It is a little hard to apply. Have some extra adhesive on hand, the backing adhesive sucks. Also Have a good heat gun on hand. I makes the material much more pliable.

If You need to do an entire floor, or some big area, use the mats. The spray works good where there are too many things in the way to place a mat down, like inside doors, and on the firewall behind the dash.
