Carb and Intake Replacement
I recently put a 351W from an 85 Bronco into my 80 F100. I removed all the emissions and the truck runs ok. Over the weekend I discovered that the carb is leaking gas in the back on to the intake. Its a Holley 4BBL 4180, after a little reading on here I found they are prone to leaking and best if replaced. I am thinking of going with an edelbrock performer intake and 1406 carb. The problem is I have never tried this before. The things I am concerned with are pulling the distributor because I haven't set timing before and adjusting the carb. Does anyone know the steps for replacing the intake as well? I would like to try this myself if I can get all my questions answered. Thanks for any input you may have.

It's pretty straight forward. Just clean the gasket surfaces on the heads good before installing the new set-up. And use RTV sealer on the end gaskets. A manual like a Chiltons or Haynes will give you the proper torque sequence.
