its 32.8" tall, stock is: 31.7. the height is ok, but the width will make it rub.
I just put on 285/75 r16. those come out to 32.8 as well... i had to shim my bumper 1/2" but that was a five minute job. they dont rub at all now.
So then i guess the question would be is that safe? I wouldnt want to go blowing on of those off going to down the highway, that could lead to a really bad day... my truck might get a scratch. lol
Yes it will be safe. You won't loose a tire.
This is just my opinion based on my personal experiences. No guarantees should be implied. (sorry, had to add the disclaimer).
Wide tire on skinny rim works...may have to run lower pressure to to keep the tread flat otherwise they will balloon and wear out the center.
If you air down for off road it will hold the bead better on the skinny rim(one of my sets for the crawler is 35x14.50's on a 8 inch wheel...I run 4psi regularly with no problems and 20 psi on the street)
Ok thanks for the info. But it looks like its not going to matter to much becuase i found a set of 16in mickey thompson classic 2's for $375, havent gone to see them yet but they look nice online.
