simple question, check engine light

So tonight i was up against an 07 duramax and was in the left lane of the left turn. so with my wide *** turning radius i was already at a disadvantage but yeah we hit it and i was only down by a car length on 80e, no time to switch to 140 or build up boost. it was my buddy and we were just messing around and you always gotta let it rip right under the overpass because it sounds so good. well heres my problem, i guess i hit the boost regulator and my truck defueld or something but the light above the seat belt light on an 02 f250 came on. my guess is that its the check engine but not sure. so if i hit the boost limit will i throw the check engine light or did i F up and now somethings messed up?

. thanks for the help but i want to know what i should do before i get out on the road for my trip this thursday.

yes the SES will come on then go out after a minute or two..nothing to worry about as long as the truck still runs the same....

thanks, i plan on getting one soon but just ran out of time. and as for the light i shut off my truck when we unloaded it, and as i was driving home the light was still on. is that another way to shut if off?

If it is staying on like that, you need to get it scanned to see what is going on.

yup i took it to the mechanic today and they went through it with 2 different readers and got. a wastegate code and an injector pressure sensor code. probally just from hitting the gas so hard but they cleared it and hopefully it will work fine for my trip. it never had any running problems it was just the light was staying on. thanks for the help.

Do you know which one exactly? P1211 is very common with a chip, but if you have a different one, then something else might be going on.

Also if you can, post up which wastegate code.
