Angry starter help

should the starter b grounded at the wire going from the relay to the starter

You will have a hot wire from the starter solenoid (on the Fender) to the terminal on the starter.

ok so when i took a test light from the + side of the batt to the wire coming off the starter it lights up is that right or do i have a bad starter

It might be better if you explain your problem along with your findings, this way we can help you better.
The cable going from the battery to the solinoid it hot all the time, the cable going from the solinoid to the starter is hot only when you turn the key to start. The starter is grounded by it's mounting bolts. Your test light will most likely light up doing what you did above but I've never tried doing that.

ok u explained everthing very good my promble is that the starter will not do anything but i get power to everything but the starter wire after the solinoid

Have you tried jumping across the seliniod to see if the stater works? Sounds like a bad seliniod to me .
