motor interchange
I have a guy wanting to swap his 351 m out of his truck in fav of a 300 inline 6 for fuel mileage. I have a 300 plus the bell housing sense the truck is a stick and the flywheel that will work. However my engine is from an 84 and my bell is an 82. what will i have to do to hook the throttle up sense his truck has a mechanical linkage and my 300's have a cable?? also what about the accesory brackes?? will mine work or will i have to find a set at the junk yard? I am going to do the work in exchange for the motor bell housing and the flywheel, plus 150 bucks in labor. sounds like a good deal considering the motor runs. i just want to figure out how hard its going to be.
