stimulus checks or lacking

We got ours a few weeks back. I put mine on my credit card debt & my wife did the same with hers. I didn't stimulate the economy but I did get closer to being debt free. As soon as I pay the credit card debt I plan to start paying 2 truck notes a month & pay it off. If I didn't have the note on my F250 the price of fuel wouldn't be as bad. I could buy 4 tanks of fuel a month for what my note is now.

I'm glad to hear people are paying debt & saving this money. Its our money anyway. We are so overtaxed that this is just a drop in the bucket in what our government should be giving the taxpayers back. The money our government wastes on pork barrel projects should be given back to the hard working Americans who need it to feed our families. all the gov should be allowed to spend is for defense, border security, & highways. All social programs should be phased out. This would put this country back on its feet & end the welfare state thats eating up our tax dollars. SS should be replaced with a voluntary program & taken out of the general fund. Its never been a good idea & will soon fail or taxes will have to be raised a huge amount to cover the baby boomers coming into the system. I know I could have a huge retirement fund if I'd invested my SS money in just a bank savings account. 15% of all the money I've earned in my lifetime drawing 4% interest would be much more than I'll ever get from SS even if I live to be 120 yrs old

That isn't an investment, it is a continuing Ponzi scheme.
The taxes you paid went to beneficiaries, the payments you are currently receiving are being paid for by current taxpayers.

No argument, but my return on "whatever" is good. Placement is important in any Ponzi scheme.

It probably is an adjustment on your tax refund. You can go online and look up when you are supposed to get your check.
If you had your federal refund directed deposited, your stimulus check will be direct deposited. If not, it will be mailed to you.

My stimulus check arrived on Monday. I spent $200 of it on a new Titleist golf bag and a new pair of Footjoy golf shoes. Tonight I bought a Titleist 2-iron on Ebay and Im bidding on a Titleist 1-iron, so some more of that might go for golf stuff.

The economic stimulus plan seems to be working...for my local economy anyway.
My check was supposed to arrive in May...so my wife spent it.
Then my check was supposed to arrive in June...so my wife spent it.
Now my check, finally, has arrived in July...so my wife spent it.
If it would have taken a couple of more months to get here ...I wouldn't have been able to afford it!

Just recieved my check yesterday. Its funny how I was supposed to have it put in my bank account almost two months ago and just now getting it through the mail. I guess its ok for the government to be late.
