LAST EDITED ON 21-Jul-01 AT 11:25 PM (EST)[p]I have an 89 F-150 4x4 standard cab. I'm going to be putting a Sony Xplod cd-650X in it. I am going to get some Sony Xplod 6 1/2" speakers for the doors and I would like to get some Sony Xplod 6x9s also. But I do not know where too put them. Could I get a cheap box with two 6x9" openingsfrom like radioshack, walmart, circuit city ect.. to put them in?? Also will I get some decent bass from the system??
Thanks
here's an idea, but i'm not sure if it's a good one. on my 90 f150 Custom, I have noticed that the bottom of the doors have a louvered area with 4 screws that looks ideal for some 6x9s. i tried sticking some in there, but the louveres got in the way. i think cutting those guys out would open up the needed room. btw, i think this louvered thing is only in the custom models (down below the panel). not sure, but worth a shot to take a look.
yea i think they are only visible on custom and xl models, xlt's have carpet and map pockets down there....the carpet has a plastice vent over where the louvers are, btw i saw you asking about these louvers in another post they are just air vents for the doors to keep them dry inside probably
