I'm trying to decide what kind of enclosure to use for the sub I'm putting in my 2000 Explorer XLT. I've seen the custom enclosures from JL Audio and QLogic. Has anyone used any of these? I'm curious as to performance differences between the two. I don't want any enclosure that comes with a built-in sub, I'm planning on putting a Kappa Perfect in whatever I decide on. I'd prefer to use one of the custom ones that don't take up lots of space, but only if I can get good bass out of one. I listen mostly to rap/dance/techno.
ALL SUBS HAVE A SPECIFIC SIZE OF ENCLOSURE THAT IS REQUIRED FOR PREMIUM SOUND. WHAT EVER SUB YOU PICK I WOULD CONTACT THE MANUFACTURE AND ASK TO SEE WHAT SIZE ENCLOSURE WOULD BE BEST. SOME MANUFACTURES WILL SEND YOU PLANS TO BUILD IT. IF YOU ARE NOT GOOD WORKING WITH WOOD, YOU CAN TAKE THE PLANS TO A STEREO SHOP AND MOST OF THEM WILL BUILD IT FOR YOU . THEY CAN ALSO MAKE IT TO CUSTOM FIT YOUR EXPLORER.WHERE ARE YOU AT MAYBE I CAN SUGGUST SOMEWHERE.
