Changing front brakes

I have an 84 f-350 4x4, and I am trying to change the front disc brakes. Its a dual piston and I removed both bottom bolts (there the only bolts) and I can't get the damn caliper off, the haynes book says theres pins to punch out but there is none I don't know if there talking about the same type of caliper or what. need some help please

on the bottom of the caliper, there are bars that look like railroad tracks that slide in between the caliperand the arm on the hub. You have to punch those out, and then the caliper will come off. The bolts you removed just prevent those pins from sliding out accidentally.

I have an 84 F250 with 2 piston calipers, the pin doesn't look like a pin its on the lower rear portion of the caliper. with the bolts out wiggle the caliper and you should see it

There's actually 2 pieces of metal sandwhiched together on the bottom side of the caliper. The plate that had the notch that the bolt went through needs to be puched out. Just use a screwdriver and a hammer. Be careful though, when that plate comes out the caliper could fall off. I found that out the hard way a month ago when I replaced my calipers, the dang thing fell off and landed on my hand.

It's more of a key than a pin. Slide it out.
