true duals

true duals

will running true duals on my 96 f150 I6 really do that much for the power? also do you think will it make it sound good?

I wouldn't bother running true dual on an I6. All you need is a well setup 2.5 inch single exhaust. The I6 doesn't move that much air and doesn't need true duals. If you want the look of duals, then just get a single in dual out muffler or a Y after the muffler.

I'm sure opening up the exhaust will help it run better. I had a I6 in my previous truck and I ran 2.5 inch pipe from the front cat back to a 50 series Flowmaster (3 chamber) with a turn down. It sounded good but not real loud. It ran better like that. Total cost the the exhaust would be about 150 bucks if you buy the muffler and have a shop install it and add a peice of 2.5 inch pipe from the front cat back to the muffler.
