I have a 93 F-150 extended cab. What is a good system to put in it that i would be able to take out quickly but still be a good system, and how much are we talking about?
i have a few questions about why you want to remove it so easily, what would you like just a deck, deck and speakers, deck, speakers, amp, sub.
how far do you want to go

I replaced my factory am/fm cassette with an alpine cd player. The alipine cage slides right in and locks into place.
You can wire it up using factory harness connections from circuit city so you can use the original ford connectors and not have to do any wiring, this way you can allways put the orignial ford radio back and just plug it in.
Although for the best sound, you should get some amps and better speakers to go with that new cd player.
Well what does college budget mean. I would recomend that if you can afford get a deck and a set of speakers. Get a good deck one you can build the rest of a system around. I would recomend alpine or kenwood but thats my bias. But for sure pick a good deck that sounds good and is also easy to use becuase you don't what to have to hunt to hard while your driving down the road. As for the speakers i would pick up a good pair of front speakers. If you can afford try to pick up a set of seperates they seem to sound better. if you can only get one then get the deck it will make even the factory speakers sound better..
