Slow to start 360- I'm bumfuzzled!
Since I put new rings in my truck it seems hard to start, like it isn't getting fuel. I rebuilt the carb, 2100 today with new power valve and all and it still isn't any better. It runs great, much better now, but still doesn't want to start until it turns over SEVERAL times. It doesn't seem to matter if it's hot or cold.
I put a Pertronix on it and have the timing advanced to 12. Could this be part of the problem.
Any ideas?

What exactly is several times? Like 20 seconds of cranking before it fires?
I would likely suspect a vacuum leak, if the carb was rebuilt and the ignition is firing.
Did you install new spark plugs when you freshened everything else up?
Your timing is fine for a mild cam, put it back to around 8 if you are running totally stock. Be sure you have the vacuum advance hooked up as well.
