I walked that road about 4 years ago. Unemployed for for the first time in my life (and it lasted 13 mths). Felt exacly what you felt.
now - making about $20K less per year than I was 5 yrs ago, but still got the same roof over our heads, still plugging away on the truck. Heck, we're going to Scotland and Ireland soon on vacation. Life will go on.
