Speedometer cable question

Speedometer cable question
I have a 65 1 ton. It has been modified to four wheel drive. A np205 remote mount transfer case was used. I need to know if anyone knows of a stock speedometer cable that will go from the transfer case to the speedometer.
The speedometer end screws on. The cable that fits a stock 73, that is where the transfer case came from, clips onto the speedometer.
I would like to go to the parts store an tell them what model specific cable I want.
If there is no such cable, is there a way to splice two speedo cables together?
