Looking to SUPERCHARGE 97 Expy

So I am interested in supercharging my 97 5.4L and wanted to know what is the best way to go. Looking for ideas and kit information so bring it on.

lightning/harley setup is mainly bolt on.

Then you can enjoy a lifetime of things to fix. Tranny, rear end, etc.

no problems for me in over a year. if it's done right, there should be no problems. can't say the same for him if he already has almost 200k on the truck!

Yes my 97 has 191K on and Yes it will be done right. Looking at Vortec V2 kit. I plan to add a Supercharger kit first making sure all works as most of the 191K is easy HWY miles and was taken care of with oil changed 3000 to 5000 miles with M1.
At some point I understand that a REMANED LONG BLOCK will be required an a Transmission rebuilt with HD parts, and have no problem changing Tranfer case and Rears, much cheaper than a new Expy and more fun, I am capable of doing most of the work myself except tranmission

I have the vortech kit and it was a bolt on. I added the aftercooler later and from a cost standpoint it would have been cheaper to do it all at once. I have been using mine for over 2 years and have not broken anything yet, although I did a shift kit in the tranny and also had shift pressure and points modified with my tune.
