Distributor????
Im swapping to carb in my 87 F150 with a 5.0. Would a stock distributor from an earlier year work. I have a 81 model distributor, would that work? If not what would.

A stock distributor from a earlier 5.0 should work providing you use the ignition system that it came with. I belive the 81 still used a duraspark system which in my opinion is much better than the thin film which i think your truck came with. Why are you getting rid of the fuel injection

I rebuilt the engine and did a head and cam swap and the speed density system will not work, cant handle all the mods. So instead of swapping to mass air I'm putting a holley 650 double pumper.
