A friend has an 04 Sport Trac and he experienced a no start after driving in heavy rain. Ford picked it up scanned for codes and it started up. No problem since and no codes stored. I laughed at him!
Today my 04 Exporer V8 did the same thing. I drove home in pouring rain and parked it. This morning I went to start it and it would not start. I tried three times and waited a few minutes. Then I cranked it and tried to "catch" and run on a few cylinders and died. I tried again and similar rough stumbling coughing but not really running. I tried one more time and it started and ran perfectly normally. No codes stored and no lights on in the dash.
I guess something got wet or is it completlty random?
