A good buddy at work got his pilots license, after years of wanting to, bought an RV9-A kit plane, had it probably 60% done, when they jerked his license, because of health issues and the meds he has to take. He sold the plane, unfinished, but kept all the tools and stuff.
My question is, are there any out there that use Clecos? He's been selling me a lot of his tools - high quality tubing benders, paint equipment, etc, etc. Now, he wants to sell me approximately 250 1/8" and 500 3/32" Clecos, at 20 cents each. Almost all of them are brand-new, and the ones that might have been used, have been used perhaps once. I've seen them going for anywhere from 50 cents each to about 75 cents each. But, I don't have a use for 750 of them! I guess I'm saying if there were enough people that wanted some, at that price, we could go in together, and help him out. I HATE ebay, for selling, or I'd go that way. Hope it's ok to ask here, I'm not trying to sell for profit or anything, just trying to pass on what could be a good deal, if anyone has a use for them. They are pretty cool, I used some tonight, to hold a couple panels together, for welding (just practice, cuz I wanted to play!), and I can see a use for them.
If you want to start putting together an order list from fellow FTE`ers, put me down for
25 - 1/8
25 - 3/32
You name the price and let me know the shipping costs. If it turns out there is not
enough interest, no problem. You have to charge a little extra to cover all your work.
Thanks and keep us updated.
Wow!!! I didn't know there was so much of a demand! Posted at midnight, just before bed, woke up and looks like most are spoken for!
I'm going to hold up here, and do final counts (two HUGE bags), and try to accommodate as many as I can. So I'm going to put it on "hold" for a few, until I can figure up some numbers, etc. Then I'll re-post what I have left and available.
Hmmm...should have charged a quarter!! Just kidding - as I said, I'm not trying to make money, just "share the wealth", and help out a friend. He's given me great deals on the tools he's sold me, and I couldn't say no to the Clecos, even though I knew I'd never use that many. Going to keep a few, they are rather neat.
Dick - I didn't receive any clamps, just the Clecos...
