Sniper Tuning
Has anyone heard of, or tried Sniper Tuning? You can create your own files for fuel economy, towing, performance, smoke or whatever. You can also adjust shift points and an array of other things. It sounds pretty cool, not sure how bogus it is though. Ill probly end up going with DP, but thought this looked interesting.

This would be the dream of every serious truck owner here!
What more could you want- it has preoaded programs for those who dont care, and for someone who wants their truck "just so", you can go in and modify everything!!!!

I don't know Adam. For some that might work well, but for me, I wonder how bad I could screw up my truck? How much does that thing cost? I would just let Jody tune mine, live of course.

Theres a guy in my town who is dealing for them, he has a 6.0 and he claims he can get 20mpg towing with one of the tunes he made......
I find that hard to beleive especially since his truck is lifted. Im not sure on prices..

I am always leary of companies that will not give you at least starting point pricing up front. What are they hiding? Just my .02

I dont know how well it works for diesels but do I know of a performance shop down the road from me that specializes in Mustangs. This shop primarily uses Sniper Programming sooo its good for atleast Mustangs. They also have a rep for building power AND reliability.

One of my good friends who was ford tech for 10 yrs .I s a dealer for them he thought they were great but sniper has sent him a few tunes that have destroyed some big money go fast motors!!!!!!!! He has sniper on his X and has had one on 6.0 250 . He now is wanting Dp! After riding in bro in laws 250 and my 350. He wont even sell sniper product at his shop now. Sniper tried to burn tune for my napa guys old gt with super charger on it 3 times and they never could even get it to start . Sniper Bad Dp GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is a cool idea. It would be cool to make your own programs and play with different parameters. But then again I would like to have someone that has the knowledge to tune/program do it right. Cool concept though.

The stuff that destroyed was direct from sniper not stuff he put together. And the tunes that would not even start matts Gt were sniper custom burned just for his car. After all the failures matt said hell even if it would start he would be scared of it. As for tuning of engine you missed the mark on that one he is one of the most respected ford go fast men in mid Ga area. Push rod or mod ford motor
