Need some help deciding on a purchase

Greetings all! New to this board, as I am in the market to get a truck. I am kinda stuck though as there are three trucks that I can't decide on. Here is what I plan on doing with the truck: In the next few years I will be getting a hard side camper, at least 21'. Also I have a mustang that I drag race about once a month and would like to start trailering it to the races, as I have access to a car hauler. With that said here are the three deals I found:

2006 F150 XLT supercab 4x4
12,000 miles
Black exterior
slate interior
short bed

$17,495

2004 F150 Fx4 Supercab
22,516 miles
Black exterior/interior
black hard tonuea cover
painted wheels
rhino liner in the bed
short bed

$18,849

2003 F250 SD supercab Fx4
$34,471 miles
Black exterior/interior
running boards
lay in bed liner
shortbed
$17,349

All of them are in immaculate condition. None have had plows attached. Interiors are very good. I am just not sure of what to get. I can say that the rhino liner and toneua cover are things I would want get anyway. I was just wondering if the 250 would handle what I want to do better than the 150, so I figured I'd ask. Gas mileage isn't a concern. Well it is but I'm not one to worry about saving 2-3 mpg. Thanks!

Check the gear ratio on the F-150 trucks, I would think you should have 3.73 but they also came with 3.55, make sure it has the tow package.

I believe the 150s have the 3.73s, they all have the tow package. Is the 150 going to handle towing a car or large camper?

5.4 4x4 with 3.73 is rated to tow approx 8900 lbs. (f-150) if this is within your weight I would take the 06 f-150. All things being equal and if the 250 your talking about is a 5.4, it will likely have a slightly higher tow capicity but is not as comfortable or agile as a 150 for a daily driver. IMO

Hey poneypower,

I'm not sure where you're located. I'm in Southern NH & have a 2006 F150 loaded, for sale. It's on the FTE classifieds here, craigslist & autotrader. It's in immaculate condition. It has the tow package & this configuration is rated for 9,400lbs.
It has just under 43,000 miles, all highway.
I'm selling it for $14,800. Well below what it's worth, but that's the times we live in.
Here's a link ... Ford-Truck Enthusiasts Classifieds - 2006 F150 Supercab loaded XLT 5.4L V8 4x4 Lojack Satellite Radio Sunroof -- PRICE DROP AGAIN!!! - Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds

Cheers.

Go with the SD thats a hell of a deal espicialy if its a diesel. When my dad traded his 01 in on his 08 he got 20k for it. It was a lariat 4x4 with almost 100k miles on it. My vote goes to the Superduty.

the SD is a 5.4L V8, not the power stroke. if it was the PS it'd be mine now.

I'm leaning toward the 150 I guess. I'd love the SD, don't get me wrong, I love borrowing my father-in-laws 03 F350 PS SD, but the wife is going to ride in it every now and then along with my son and I know how SDs ride, they'll be complaining i just know it. Although it is a nice piece, but I did just get a nitrous kit for the mustang so she has to deal with that, lol. Here are some pics of them..

Man I'd be all over that SD. Thats one good looking truck. I don't think they have a bad ride? But I started out in a bronco so basically anything feels like a good ride to me.
