Help! Amp Crossover!

I heard that there was a way to crossover a 200 watt amp and make it like 400 watts! Is this true? PIf you can answer this question please e-mail me at RedneckCadet@Netscape.net Thanx all!

What you're thinking of is called bridging! It does multiply your power but not necessarily by 2x! Your amp also has to be capable of doing this because it will heat the amp up and make it unstable if it isnt designed to do this!!! In other words if your amp isn't stable at these loads you could end up with a fryed amp!(Trust me I have fryed a few so I learned the hard way) Most amps are 2 ohm stable when bridged and 4 ohm stable when powering a stereo load. trouser had that backwards.. most amps are stable into a 4 ohm mono(bridged) load and a 2 ohm stereo load.... but as for the xover thing no .. maybe bridged, but not all amps double their power when bridged.
