Just recently aquired a '97 ford Ranger XLT with the stock AM/FM/CD player. a day or so ago, after ejecting a CD and inserting another it would not play... About 30 seconds after insertion, I get Cderr 0001 displayed and it reverts back to whatever radio station I had playing.
I called the local service department and they want $206 to send the unit in to have it looked at. =( Just wondering if anyone has run into this problem before and if there may be a quickie (read:cheap) fix.
