engine part question
What is that long tube that comes off the engine block just behind water pump and runs along the engine block on the drivers side? Hope this is not a dumb question.Roy

Yes, that is the oil cooler. For those who don't know, there are tubes that the coolant passes through, and oil surrounds the fin-wrapped tubes. Im sure the oil gets up to around 350-400* under a heavy load, with the extreme pressure it's put on, plus the piston cooling jets have to really transmit some heat into that oil. Here are some pictures of one i repaired...
