anyone done this? do i have any restrictions or will anything work? im pretty open to anything from a simple horn to something one of a kind.
currently it must have been replaced at one point because it sounds like something off a festiva, i get looks from all sides when i push it, im afraid to give ppl a friendly honk lol.... any help would be good! thanks guys!
There are two horns, one high pitched (probably the one still working on yours) and one low pitched (not working on your truck). When both work correctly you get the "big truck" HONK! You can just replace the bad horn or get yourself one of those air train horns and give old people a heart attack....
Use some Needle nose Pliers, and pull the spade connector off one... then the other, etc. You are going to find one dead one., and I agree, it sounds like your "low" horn is out. Any one off any 12 volt car is going to work, as long as it can bolt up.
I had the same problem several years back - low horn went out and mine sounded pretty rediculous too. You can just buy the one that went bad rather than the whole thing - pretty easy repair.
