Power Locks
Hey guys, I am asking this question on behalf of my girlfriends dad. I have a 97 250 7.3L but he has a 2000 excursion lariat. The problem is that when you hit the button for the locks nothing happens, you can hear the locks trying to unlock themselves but they don't. You have to unlock and lock the doors manually.
Sorry its a long thread but its hard to explain. If anyone has any input that would be great thanks.

Yeah, the actuators need to be replaced. Its a known problem with the earlier model Excursions.

yup thats it. Just get your self a 12 pack of cold ones and a nice afternnon depending on how many need to be replaced. The first one will probably take about an 1hour to 1 1/2 hours but then they become repetative and can be done in 40 minutes or so. YOu could alwasy take is to stealership and they will charge 82 for actuatotr and 65 for each to be put in.
