WOW!!!!!!! that thing is beautiful Kathy, hope only someday to have mine all one color but I'm driving it every day so who cares what it looks like, just tell people I'm getting the bugs out before paint. Awsome looking truck you got though, Garry
I know what you mean about being "dangerously low" on the old truck budget. My budget is non-existant and basically consists of what spare change I can save (I had to hide my change bucket from the kids)
Hey guys, thanks for looking at the pics of my truck, although trust me when I tell you the pictures do give the trucks paint job justice. Because there is several scraps, gouges, and many chips. Probably down the road a few years we will have to budget for a new paint job.
Mr. Mayo I will try to get some pics of the interior we done on it as soon as we finish getting the power steering finished, I also bought a new colum from Ididit because the one the po had wasn't worth a SH**T What I did was orderd the interior kit from Mid Fifty, it isn't what I would call top quality, but again later down the road there is a interior shop here in Cullman called Atkins that dose great work, matter of fact they were on one of the restoring car shows on Tv last Sat.
Bobby, your not kidding when you talk about spare change to hide for truck parts, I'm about to that point myself. I spent my last wad of dough on the power steering kit and new colum. SO I'M NOW WITHOUT A DOUBT TRUCK BROKE!!!
WOW Kathy thats one nice looking truck! I see you are just up the road from me. I live in Glencoe, just outside of Gadsden. If I ever get my truck off the saw horses and back on wheels maybe we will meet up at a show. Later Lakota
Mike Hey you know I got one hell of a deal on this truck, 8,000.00 but I have also had to put alot of $$$$ and work into it, mainly engine, trans, interior and various tit for tat parts like wiper motor ect. Right now AINT' NO FUN BECAUSE IT AINT RUNNIN!
Dick OMG what can I say, ya it could possible be red, unless your colorblind then its a shade of grey or black!!!
Lakotas You will have that truck on the road before you know it, yes I was way ahead of the game buying my truck 90% restored, but the interior was, well tacky. The PO did what we call half a** work, like using 0ld seatbelt buckles for tailgate latches. Not saying they didn't work real well, but again very tacky. I sure will look forward to getting my truck to some of the local shows too, hopefully the one in Priceville in Aug. it is a nice show had some very beutiful trucks last year says my hubby for I was in FL. at the time. Maybe one day we will run into one another.
TxF100, No 56 gas tank, although it is installed behind the seat, but PO put in mid 70s ch**y gas tank, it works with no leaks but had to install a new sending unit once I narrowed down which tank he used. Everyone take care, and I will try to put updated interior, Rack and pinion kit, pics as soon as I can.
Kathy
really nice truck, homegirl. I say that because we're practically neighbors. I'm in Hueytown... just down I-65 and to the right a little. Work with a bunch of Cullman area folks , Dodge City, Goodhope, too......
Atkins does some of the nices interior work I've ever seen. they will be my choice if I ever get that far... how long is their waiting list now ??? 1 year ?? 2 ??? You see their name in a lot of magazines now a days...
keep plugging and keep up posted. Low Budget ??? that's why Capital One is in business... what's in your wallet ???
