2000 ford explorer

I have a 2000 Ford Explorer ran out of gas at gas pump! Filled up and NO START! Listened for fuel pump to prime couldnt hear anything. Next day checked for fuel coming out at fuel filter nothing. So figured pump had burned up. Also had looked for cut off switch that possible got triggered couldnt find on. Changed pump and still nothing. Pump will not cycle. Checked fuses but cant find one thats bad. Any ideas why i'm not getting power to the pump?

I think you better move your post to the explorer section. But welcome to FTE. You will be helped there.

You need to locate your fuel pump relay under the hood somewhere and have someone cycle the key while you feel the relay and see if its clicking. If its clicking you most likely need a pump. If not most likely a relay. How many miles do you have?

If you have not located the cut off switch, check right next to the door on the passenger side by your feet, under the the glove box. There is a fuel shut-off module thingy that is supposed to trip when the vehicle is involved in an accident. So... you should have one, my 2000 Ex has one. If you were not in an accident, I dont know why it should trip or if its the cause of your problem.
