Fan blade

On my '94 Bronco, with the engine turned off and cold, should the fan blade spin freely. I was told when the engine is at operating temp, the blade does not spin freely and has a tightness to it. Mine has a tightness, whether cold or at operating temperature. Just had a new water pump installed and need some advice. Thanks

If you have a fan clutch and it's gone bad, the fan will spin freely. When the clutch is ok, the fan will still spin, but effort is required to make it do so.

Thanks for the reply. Their is a fan clutch. Going along with your explanation, the fan will move freely, but some effort is required. That clears up my concern.

Do you have a specific parts list you can post?

Part numbers and all, just to keep it simple for everyone?

An installation procedure would be great too.
