Replace Factory Head Unit
I am interested in adding some amps and bass to my Supercrew.
Do I have to replace the head unit to run external amps? I am guessing that the factory unit doesn't come with preouts.
I have seen some other threads suggesting Crutchfields for a harness.
Any suggestions?

they make a speaker level unit with preamp out puts, they sell em at wal-mart. this should be wut u need. it sells for about $20-25. thats the only was to add an external amp wit a factory head unit.

Replace Factory Head Unit
You lose some sound quality using the adapter. If you do not have amps already, just look for amps that have speaker (hi level) imputs. Your sound will be cleaner and they are not any harder to install.
