Engine surges after start-up

Hey guys. Got another problem. After the truck starts, the motor seems to surge. Like I'm pushing the gas pedal. It only surges 2 or 3 times, then it evens out and idles just fine.
Any ideas what to look at. And thanks in advance. I know help is on the way.
Forgot to mention. I recently replaced the sparkplugs, (Motorcraft) plug wires, fuel and air filter. Other than oil and filter change, that was the extent of my tune up.
I checked all the vacume lines. Didn't see anything that needed attention.
Thanks again for the help guys.

That's the computer trying to warm the engine up, completely normal with these trucks. Usually if you blip the gas pedal it'll steady out.

does it idle up for a few seconds then down and stay down to normal idle? that is normal. if it idles up and down and keeps doing that, that is not normal. IAC may be dirty or need replacing. does the check engine light come on at all?

It idles up for a few seconds, then drops down, then idles up for a few seconds then drops down to normal speed and stays there. That's it.
Just wondered if that was normal and what it was.
Thanks for the help guys.
