I ran accross this the other day and just thought you guys would like to see this. I am not a big fan but I really appreciat the creativity. It is currently on Ebay for $55,000. The guy doesn't tell you very much about it to warrent the heafty price tag.
Well I guess if you are running a guided hunting expedition buisness then this would be for you. I like how he used a 230K young running gear from a Dodge to power it all. The interior is pretty interesting to say the least and I am curious to know about the rear axle set up.
where does the fuel go though ??? also note the gargantuan hood/fender gap in paint over spray on the rear end frame stuff...also...if you look at the VIN...he ruined a friggin 4WD!!!!
Every time I look at it, it looks worse and worse to me. Yes it just looks misproportioned. The rear doors are way to wide. The front end looks like it is lifted where the back looks normal. There is no reason to the tag axle in the back. if he left that alone it would have been a decent attemp at a homemade 4x4 Crew cab.For a $55k price tag I would hope to get a fiberglass, painted to match camper shell(topper). There are no door panels on the inside and the dash and steering column look junky. The back doors just have a hole on the outside where the lock mech goes. The speckal paint makes it look dirty. The front grill sticks out way to far. I wish he gave more details like:
how the frame was spliced??
What is the load capacity??
Are the extra set of wheels just for looks??
Where is the 100 gal fuel tank ??(I assume it is taking up half the bed)
Stuff always looks nicer in the photo than in real life so I wonder how many corners he cut? I am not trying to be hard on it but for that price it needs to be a ton nicer.
