With E85 selling for a dollar cheaper than gas in some places, do FFV F150's bring a better price than gas only versions? I'm asking since I'll be putting my FFV up for sale in the next few days. What would be a reasonable Ebay reserve price for a nice '07 SC 4x4 XLT with 28K? A friend goes to a dealer auction in Pennsylvania and said he could probably get me $17,000 to $18,000 there.
I have one, and I'd expect it to sell the same right now. Maybe in a few years, if E85 takes off and is truly marketed as being cheaper than straight gasoline, it may bring a higher resale value. Don't know though, it's merely "speculation" which we all know SUCKS!!
Welcome to FTE. It is a pretty crappy time to try to sell a truck... so I am not sure how depressed the market is. Have you seen what other similarly equipped trucks have been selling for on ebay? I would do that, to see what the market will 'tolerate'. Good luck.
I think at the very least it would sell before a non-FFV truck. If your dealing with some tree hugging Al Gore groupie that hasn't done their home work on the mileage shortfalls of FFV you might get a better price.

I am in no way a "tree hugging Al Gore groupie " ...but I did buy a FFV. I did so because I was tired of sending my hard earned money to the middle east, call it a personal choice. The fact is that on regular 87 I average 14.5mpg and on E85 I average 12.8 . If E85 is more than 60 cents cheaper it IS cheaper to run E85. Even if it isn't cheaper, I feel like everytime I pickup that E85 pump, I am symbolicly raising a middle finger to OPEC. And no ...E85 is not the reason food prices are so high. The Department of Agriculture recently released a report saying that Ethanol has accounted for less than 4% of the rise in food prices, the main cause is high fuel costs.
