Question Trans dipstick question

I just changed my trans fluid and filter today.
My question is the fluid level on the dipstick.
Right now after running it only to change the fluid the level is right in the middle between the cold and hot line.
Is this full then?
Will it go up to the hot line after driving?
Or do I need to add another quart?

Thanks
John

Don't add anymore fluid till you get it hot and check it. If it's above the "cold" mark now it'll probably go above the "hot" mark once it's up to temp.

I drove around today about an hour.
Its 90 degrees here.
So it should be hot.
It didnt really move much I added little less than qt it just at top of hot now.
Gonna keep an eye on it for next couple times driven.

You all are doing it right. I never check mine hot and running as I was told 40 years ago you should. Always check it cold but level. If it's clear, smells clean and up, I call it good. Never lost a trans yet, but always ran after-market coolers. Got to add one to this one soon. Gettin' lazy in my old age.
