We are ok, Manhattan and Chapman got hit pretty bad, Chapman worse than Manhattan.
Del called last night after it was nearly over, I had a hard time hearing him because cell towers were down, but I did hear him say they were fine.
We have somebody's stuff in our yard. don't know who.. We have found pictures, letters, insulation, tar paper, Price reduced tags from The True Value across town that is now gone. Now that it is daylight, I will wander around the yard and see what kind of other goodies have landed here, hope there is a suitcase of money.. J/K
I have been outside, but couldn't see last night whether we had any damage to our roof, but given the fact that it rained like crazy and we didn't seem to have water in the house, was good enough for me. I will check it out after I am dressed.
My sister lives in southern Salina, and they were hit pretty hard, house is still there, but less than a mile from them, Crestwood (furniture plant) got hit, she was waiting for confirmation on that I am not sure she got yet, but something pretty big blew up, they didn't know if it was the gas station down the street? They were afraid to go look at their suburban, pickup and camper... there were places with 2.75" hail, and 1.75" hail reporoted around salina.
My Cousin didn't say anything about his house but he is camping in Kirwin. I'll give him a call. I guess true value in manhattan is gone... and some damage at k-state.
Lots of houses in the Miller Ranch area of southwest Manhattan were destroyed or damaged. Also, the Little Apple Toyota/Honda had damage and the Truevalue just north was destroyed.
We didn't have any damage that I know of out in our area by the lake. At work, in northwest Manhattan things seem to be ok.
