Showing off . . .
On the safety certification Lable located on the driver cab "B" pillar, right under the door striker bolt, you will see a list of codes. If you look at the Body Codes there will be three boxes. The first box is material and seat type.
the second box is trim color.
the third is body code. Flareside, styleside, chassis cab, etc...
I have the 1981 Ford decoder book, if the original poster wants more information.
Interesting, where might I find such a book?

Uncle Stosh is right about the wheels but I think you could do nicely for less with chrome trim rings. The truck has a lot of brightwork and when you downplay the wheels in this instance it doesn't sit right... the wheels look too small. It's a beautiful truck and you can sure be proud of it and your work. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE class=tborder style="BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px" cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=6 width="100%" align=center border=0 itxtvisited="1"><TBODY itxtvisited="1"><TR title="Post 6249941" vAlign=top itxtvisited="1"><TD class=alt1 align=middle width=125 itxtvisited="1">uncle.stosh</TD><TD class=alt2 itxtvisited="1">Nice, but I'm not diggin' the black wheels.
Not on that truck any way. Some polished aluminum or chromies would be nicer IMO.
I second the "losing of the steering wheel cover". </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
Thanks for the kind, and not-so kind words. Haha. The steering wheel cover is there because as most of us know, the steering wheel has a tendency of getting grimy. The color is the closest color I could find at the local auto store. I agree, it doesn't look right, however it's there for more functionality reasons then looks.
I like the wheels, but again agree they could use chrome rings. I bought some, but I didn't realize that to put them on, you ruin the wheels with the clips. Wheels cost a nice penny and destroying them for looks just don't sit well. Unless there's a different way of putting on the chrome rings.
I have a future purchase plan on some 31 inch AT tire and wheel combo from Jegs soon. Buuuut those wheels are black to.

I have not seen many interiors before w/ the "camel" color. (I think that was the factory color name).

According to the Factory Decoder book it's called nutmeg.

Thanks, I'll have to keep you in mind. I work as an auto broker so I have access to VIN decoder, but would be interested in what you're talking about.
FYI - I've been offered several times 3,500 - 4,500$ for this truck.
