I have a 84 F150 I put a motor in and the brackets will not line up.
I put in a slightly built 80 model 302.
I took out a blowed up 89 model 302.
the truck is a 1984 but it came with a 302
So my question is what brackets do I need to get or should
I make one fit .
The air is not hooked up but the power steering and alt is the problem
I hope you are not trying to mix and match the 89 serpentine pieces with old v-belt brackets and accessories. A different waterpump and fan are required for a serpentine system, since they turn backwards compared to a v-belt system.
Decide what you are going to use, and then get all the stuff to fit that system.
What is not lining up? The truck originally had a 89 engine with the v-belt system on it? If so, you may not know what someone else has put on the original engine. It may have had the original 89 waterpump with v-belts on it.
Don't worry, if you get all the v-belt components, everything will line up like magic. I would either find a buddy who has the same setup and stare at his for awhile, or go to the junkyard and get all the v-belt components off an engine there. If the system you get had A/C, and you don't use the A/C bracket, I think you may need a spacer for the power steering pump.
