Stealth Boxes

Ok, I've gotten all these suggestions about JL Audio stealth boxes and seat lifts and the like, but the problems are: 1.)I haven't been able to find the stealths that fit my truck. They are all for newer models, like '97 and up. I have a '92 F-150. And about the seat lift, I have an extended cab truck that has a fold-down cargo bed for a back seat. Does the lift still work with that?
I actually had an idea to put the sub in my center console (which is a lot different than the newer model consoles ie: wider); make my own little "stealth box" before I'd heard of them. So, any new suggestions guys? Thanks again.

Stealth Boxes

Is your truck a automatic?
my 95 F150 ext cab is a automatic 2wd. the stealthbox 1 10" sits on the floor hump in the center, it starts under the dash and extends to the center of the front seat. It looks like most websites are offering styles for newer cars and trucks. You may have to go into a local JL audio dealership and see if they can get something for your application. I know I special ordered mine trough a local dealer and it took a couple of weeks to get here.
If you go the stealthbox route keep in mind that you will have to spend some money to get the power to push it. I'm pushing mine with a Alpine mrv 1000 earliest model V12 @ 7 years old. Four coaxial speakers (2 front 2back) are being pushed with a mrvt500 alpine V12 also @ 7years old. Alpine head unit.

this site has some info on stealthboxes. http://www.jlaudio.com/stealthbox/f150.html

hey man. build your own box. you can get free plans from POLK AUDIO. they are easy to do. way cheaper. aftermarket boxes usually are not the greatest quality. i, like you, have an older truck and could not find a "bolt-in" solution to a rear sub. all for newer trucks. also did not want a sub sliding around in the back or even interfearing with the rear seat function. i have a front bench so the console idea was out for me. but if you have a console that is the way to do it if you can make it fit. i'll try and get you some pictures bud.
