stud torque

does anybody know what the arp studs should be torqued to or have any other specs that they have good luck with mine is getting head gaskets again!!

IIRC it's 245 ft/lbs....call ARP..they should be able to get that info quickly..

hey thanks for that info hopefully this time they will hold i dont know when the last time head gaskets were done but they were done with studs lucky me!! the truck now has 102and change miles

125 to 135 Ft lbs according to the arp instructions that come with the kit.

IIRC 125 to 165 to 245lbs.

so first round 125, second 165 and final 245 then brickie?

Thats what I remember for the torque sequence,the final is 245 for sure.

Be sure and use the ARP lube when you re-torque them.

i did 80, 160, then 245.

The stock head bolts are torqued to 65 on the bottoms, and 85 on the tops, then they're all turned 90 deg. 3, yes, three different times. It's been about 4 months since my last head stud job but I'm with 00ecxdiesel on the torque sequence and tightness. "just did mine and the instructions say 3 equal steps up to 245 ft/lbs.
i did 80, 160, then 245."
