I know after a thread gets over 300 or so posts, it starts eating a lot of band width,, so they usually get locked,,, The longest I have ever seen a thread go was high 900's in the Thrivolous Thread in The Club. I seriously doubt we'll ever see anything close to 15,000!!!

You are right Liz. But I think the decision to lock threads is also based on the descretion of the person that is reviewing and locking.
So in other words, kiss butt so this doesn't get locked?
'Locked' can be done for various reasons. Three reasons come to mind:
- By request
- For being 'Way off-topic' or getting borderline offensive.
- Just too large and using a lot of bandwidth.
Our 'General Chatter' threads have been locked due to size. However, our 'New Member' thread is pretty large and still open. I beleive that the choice has been made based on relevance. Politics are not involved in the decision process.
