I like Riders or I have a pair that I bought back in the 90's and still have the same color as I bought them, I wear my jeans all the time well for the time being I can't lol, also another good pair of jeans are Route 66 hubby has a few of them and I like them on him and also HIS jeans for guys are good hubby wears those ones good for me lol.
I'm looking right now for new jeans. I wore a Old Navy jeans for a few years, but they changed the fit in their standard style. Now, when I work in them I look like a gangsta. The seat is way too low in them.
I have a few pairs of Carhartts, in two different styles. They wear good, but I don't particularly care for the fit of those either.
I wear Dakota overalls at work.Fit good,I dont have to worry about my "rear" hanging out and they wash very easy.We have to keep our legs covered because of coming into contact with grease, oil, paint, etc. so its important to have something on that protects, the Dakotas do just that.
I use to wear Levis, when they were made here, in the U.S.But now they're made everywhere except here, in the U.S.
Levi's recently closed their last US plant, and moved it to Mexico.
Levi's got their start in Placerville (aka Hangtown aka Dry Diggins) CA. Levi Strauss came to the CA gold fields, but found no gold, so he mined the miners instead.
At that time, there were over 10,000 abandoned vessels in San Francisco Bay, so 'ol Levi bought 1000's of yards of sail canvas and sewed the material into...uh...Levi's.
Two other famous ppl that got their start in Placerville: Armour owned a butcher shop, and John Studebaker built wheelbarrows.
Taking $8,000.00 in profits back to South Bend IN in 1852, he opened a wagon manufacturing plant, then dozens more...by 1910, he was making motor vehicles.
While Studebaker closed its doors in 1966, the company still is the second oldest manufacturer of wheeled vehicles in the world: 1852-1966.
I use to wear Levis, when they were made here, in the U.S.
But now they're made everywhere except here, in the U.S.
I still wear Levi's. The '560 jeans' are about the only ones that I can get above my thighs and to my waist.
Although, there was a time when I could get into 501 and 505 jeans.
That was before I developed 'Dunlop Disease'.
"Dunlop Disease" (for those that aren't in the medical profession), is when your stomach "Dun-lopped" over your belt line!
Depending on where the Levi's are made, they will last a lonnnnnnnnng time.
Wranglers just don't have enough 'seat' room and are cut really tight.
I have Wrangler's and Dickie's jeans that I wear for working in... both are pretty durable and not terribly expensive. Of the two, I prefer the Dickie's, but notice that I usually end up wearing the Wrangler's for a night out, for some reason.
I still have a pair that I bought when I was in 7th grade (9 years ago!). I have worn them everywhere and for everything! School, sports, fourwheeling, camping, etc...
They're very thick, fit very well, and the pockets are very large and durable. I can't count how many bolts, screws, and other objects I've had in them for days at a time, without a single hole poked through anywhere...
Also, Polo jeans are the second most rugged I've owned. The pockets are a little small though...
I remember one time going to Mervyns to buy some jeans and looked at the Levis.
They were priced as though they were made by hand, and in the U.S.
I pulled six pairs of Levis, and they were made in four different countries.
The home office of Levis 'was' here, in S.F.; aptly named Levis Plaza.
00BlueOvalRanger, I like the 560's. They fit. Last time I wore any 502's was
during the Nixon Administration.
Wranglers do make a roomy jeans. They're called three sizes bigger than what you need.
I like my Canyon River Blues relaxed fit dont know were there made but they are very comfortable I have a pair of wranglers george strait edition, carhartt, 2 Lees, and a pair of Levis however non of them fit as comfortable as the Canyon Rivers. Dont buy Sandy Rivers the material aint bad but youll blow the zipper out long before you wear any hole in them, when I was a welder they were all I wore not any more a few weeks ago I blew 2 zippers in a row in fairly new jeans.
