xlt third row seat

xlt third row seat

I have a 2003 expedition xlt. It was previously a police unit, and it does not have a third row seat. Can I just buy a seat and put it in or do I have to get other parts too? Also does anyone have one that they want to get rid of?

What color interior? You should be able to get one and throw it right in. I've got a tan one from my '99 EB. It would cost an arm and a leg to ship I'm sure. I'm in Duluth, MN.

I doubt you could just "throw one in" since it is an integrated, non-removable seat. The older ones, sure! Not the 03+.

If it didn't come with it, it won't work as Monsta said. The pre '03's can't be thrown in either, if it didn't have it from the factory it doesn't have the rails in the bed to accept the seat.

Man that really sucks. So we are sure that there is NO way I can put in a third row seat without major mods?

I also bought an 03 police unit with no 3rd row. Bought one from an auto wrecker for about 250.00. It came with all the seat belts & pillar covers to accomodate the belts also. It wasn't that bad to install. The only thing you will have to do is tap the exsisting holes to accept the bolts as they are not threaded. The whole project took me about 3-4 hrs and a 6 pack. Wasn't that bad at all. I have seen them on Ebay from time to time.
