I just keep reading everyone talking about how great these dp tuners i really want to get one just didnt want to have to build up the tranny before i get one. but maybe i should cause i got 300,000kms on my truck now and have been running a 80hp diablo chip for the past two years. it shifts fine and everything now just was curious if you had to beef it up.

Call Jody, talk to him. Tell him about your truck, what you want to do with it and he will steer you in the right direction, even if it is away from his chip. He don't wany you tear anything up either.

Congrats on the new grins Mark! I just got my BTS put in and enjoying my new DP-TUnes the 140 is plain out impressive it will throw you back in your seat. Now with the VB and gauges I can try out this super smoke excellent against ricers and tail gaters because it blacks out the road behind you! Warning for those interested VERY high EGTs and very poor fuel economy.

The 120 over the 80 is a large difference. I've not played with the 140 yet, in fact the one and only time it's been in 140 was when Jody was testing it.

Quicker and more smoke, but if you are comparing DPs 80 to the 80 you have now,,,, well there ain't no comparision. It will make you wonder how they(non DP) could ever call theirs 80hp. More like 20 maybe.

I second that! I had a Predator that I kept at 60hp setting, and it feels nothing like the 60tow from Jody ( a little laggy because it's a tow tune, but it gets up better than predator) and a bit of advice- with the dirty air filter I'm cleaning right now, my 80e looks like a 140

Between the 80E and 140 Agressive, the 140 WOT turns day into night and plain out throws you back in your seat, there is a big difference with just a stock truck.

All I can say about my old 80 horse Superchips is that it did give me much better mpg, but comparing the DP 80 to the Superchip 80 I would have to rate the Superchips more like what Barry said, maybe 20 horse. Other than the mpg, it's a joke and may have burned 2 transmissions for me.

Jody travels around you might want to call him and see when he will be closer to your area. I know he goes to Colorado, if not come down to east TN next year for Smokin he'll get you there .
