EFI for our 73-79's?
Has anyone out there tried EFI, such as the Howell system or Holley Pro-Jection? What were the results? Any significant mpg gains? I read somewhere that the Howell system can bump a truck up 2-3mpg but have no firsthand experience. If this is true, should make my 73 F100 302/3.03 more fuel efficient than a 2008 f150. Any experiences greatly appreciated.

From what i understand, efi only increases mpg/hp if your engine is not setup "optimally". Meaning if you have a good top end eg. cam intake and carb, setup to work with your engine, the gains would be minimal to zero. Yet if running stock parts, in need of repair, you would gain the same performance as the above mentioned. The main plus to efi is the flexibility and reliability it provides. I could be wrong, as this is also second hand information. I do know that my cousin bought the edlejunk kit for his 302 and ended up goin back to a carb after about 6 months.
