My dad has a 99 with the V6 in it and he averages around 24. My brother has on e with a manual and gets around 26 with his. I wish that my PSD got as good.
That is very respectable, it`s in our 98 Ranger territory at 28 mpg.
And here I`d been lead to believe the V6`s weren`t all that good on fuel, go figure......
i know an older guy with a '97 ext cab 2wd v6 auto and he complains constantly about 12-13 mpg highway, his driving style might have something to do with it, but he sure don't see 23-4. his '97 only got 30-odd thousand on it. i should take it for a week and see what it would get for me.
i dont know some v6s get good mileage and some dont Morris i always hear talk on the site here some of there v6 are no better on gas than the V8 in the F150 and Ranger
I don't usually do that much city driving I only live a handfull of blocks away from work then I bike to work 3 times a week but as far as I can tell by the fuel guage it isn't using much.
The truck I took from work to come up to Saskatoon for training is a '05 F150 with the V6 auto. I will have to figure out the mileage when I fill it up before heading home. If the fuel tank is the same size as my '07 I don't think it gets any better!
